Circle of Security Parenting Class
Circle of Security Parenting, Trademarked course, presented by certified facilitator
A their child’s emotional needs and their own responses under stress. Rather than focusing on punishment or quick fixes, COSP supports parents in building a secure, trusting relationship that helps children feel safe, understood, and supported.
This program is intentionally more in-depth than many court-mandated parenting classes because it is designed to create meaningful, long-term change for families, not just provide information.
What Parents Will Learn
Participants will learn how to:
Understand their child’s behavior through an attachment and developmental lens
Respond to emotional needs with confidence and clarity
Reduce power struggles and escalation
Repair connection after conflict
Build emotional safety and resilience in their child
The program includes guided discussion, video examples, reflection, and practical tools parents can use immediately at home.
Court & DCF Information
Circle of Security Parenting, trademarked course, is frequently recommended by family courts, therapists, and child welfare professionals.
This program may satisfy parenting education requirements for family court or DCF cases with approval from the referring court, judge, attorney, or caseworker.
Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion, which may be submitted to the court or DCF when prior approval has been granted.
Parents who are court-ordered to attend a parenting program are encouraged to confirm acceptance with their attorney, case manager, or the court before enrolling.
Who This Program Is For
Parents who want more than a “check-the-box” class
Families seeking to reduce conflict and improve connection
Parents involved in family court or DCF cases (with approval)
Caregivers who want tools that work beyond the classroom
Why Choose a More In-Depth Program?
Short parenting classes meet minimum requirements.
Circle of Security Parenting helps change patterns.
Parents often report:
Stronger relationships with their children
Improved emotional regulation for both parent and child
Greater confidence in difficult moments
Fewer repeated conflicts and interventions
For many families, the additional time investment leads to greater stability long after the program ends.
